We where hired by TVNorge to help find a typical Norwegian Troll, but since it was such a time consuming task, we just went back and made one in 3D.
Behind the scenes
We needed to make the troll look real enough to be integrated into the setting, and since we wanted to make a typical Norwegian Troll we just used a typical Norwegian with a bucket on his head filled with tracking marks.
The head was fully done in 3Ds Max, including the hair and fur simulation. The scenes was rendered in Vray.
